Our Response to Covid-19
Festival of Witches will work with state and local health officials to implement CDC guidance, adjusting to meet the unique needs and circumstances of the local community and all event attendees. These guidance ate meant to supplement--not replace—any state, local, territorial, or tribal health and safety laws, rules, and regulations with which gatherings must comply.
We advise event staff and attendees to stay home if they have tested positive for COVID-19, are waiting for COVID-19 test results, have COVID-19 symptoms, or if they have had close contact with a person who has tested positive for or who has symptoms of COVID-19.
We will conduct temperatuure screening at the door and face masks will be available before entering for event check-in should attendees forget theirs. Masks will be required inside during the event whether or not you are vaccinated. Bandanas, turtleneck sweaters, scarves or any other fabric or covering that is not considered an appropriate face coverings will not be permitted into the event.
New Covid cases are much lower during warmer months and Octobers in New York generally stay pretty warm. Depending upon the number of new cases at the time of the event, we may require attendees to enter in allotted groups or time slots (pre-sheduled so that you don't miss the classes and/or lectures you'd like to attend) rather than enter the event all at once to help prevent over crowding and reduce the potential to spread the virus.
Hand sanitizing stations will be available in several areas within the event and we encourage all to use them.
Social distancing will be implemented at check in lines, seating during classes and lectures, through traffic flow throughout the event between attendees and between vendors, psychics and event staff.
Staff will regularly disinfect surfaces such as check in tables. We encourage our psychics to do the same with their tables and mediums they use to read (tarot cards, pendulums, etc.).
Psychics must keep a plastic or plexiglass divider between themselves and their clients on their tables at all times.
Festival of Witches will continue to monitor and assess, based on conditions in the months leading up to the weekend of our event, whether to postpone, cancel or move the event to a virtual platform to reduce the risk of spread.
The number of people occupying restrooms at one time will be limited.
